2017 SYMPOSIUM

The 2017 Halton Hills Cultural Roundtable’s Annual
Symposium was held on  Friday  January 27th at  the Halton Hills Cultural Centre’s John Elliott Theatre.   After welcome refreshment and networking opportunities, the recipients of the 2017 Arts Alive Awards were announced.  Recipients were nominated for ten awards recognizing their contributions to the amazing cultural fabric of our community.   See all Award Recipients here.

special Canada 150 speaker,  Anishnaabe (Ojibway) Kim Wheatley,  addressed a full house, and demonstrated her deep commitment to  creating and promoting awareness of the Indigenous perspective utilizing her gifts of song, storytelling and Traditional teachings.  It was a most memorable presentation which resonated with symposium guests long after the evening ended.

The 2018 Symposium will be held in January next year and information will be available from summer 2017.
